a yellow raven is a tiny studio by me, cordelia yu. It is a multi-disciplinary consultancy and creative studio working on projects that better connect people and communities.

Things I’ll be doing here:

  • Research and notes on deliverative and participatory democracy.
  • Provide trainings and workshops I run to help organizations build more collaborative and equity-focused decision making processes.
  • Publishing game systems and worldbuilding for tabletop role play games.
  • Showcasing and potentially selling products from a variety of design and creative projects.

about the name

The name a yellow raven is a reference to Hempel's Paradox of the Ravens on what constitutes as evidence. The studio is named after a broken paradox because often when we see something that looks like a paradox, the true problem is that we’re using broken framework and much of the work of this studio is about creating and finding new frameworks and systems to create a more equitable, just, and joyful world.
